FAQ's

1. Who runs the Sting?
Ken Miller is the director of the Sting.  All questions should be directed to him.
2. Who are the Sting coaches?
The Sting coaches include some of the top college lacrosse players in the country who are supervised by the Sting Directors.  
3. Where do the Sting Play?
The Sting plays only in tournaments.  The Varsity plays primarily in recruiting tournaments through New England, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.  The Youth Teams play in a variety of tournaments in a similar area where they are matched against teams of challenging strength.   
4. How do I sign up to try out?
The try out dates will be announced on the news section of the web site for sometime in April.  When you see them announced you go to the "Try Out Registration" tab on the main menu and fill out the try out form. Then click on the payment button and pay the tryout fee.  Be at the tryout location and do your best! Rosters are posted on the web site several days after all the try outs are complete.  Be sure to have a current US Lacrosse Membership before you try out as it is required.
5. I missed the try outs.  Can I still try out?
If you have missed the tryouts, you can send an email to kenethmiller@msn.com and request consideration. 
6. When do practices begin?
Practices for all groups of the Sting begin in late May and are held several times a week during June.  Tournament schedules begin late in June and run through the Summer and into the Fall. The last tournaments are held in late Fall.
7. I'm on the roster. What do I do now?
You've made the team.  Now you click on the registration tab on the web site menu and complete all the required information.  Then go to the payment page and complete the payments.  If you are a new player to Sting you must complete the one time club fee as well as the annual fee before you attend practice.  All payments are made via the online payment system which accepts all major credit cards.   Be sure to be at the first practices!
